Unani
Unani, a traditional system of medicine with its origins in ancient Greece, evolved in the crucible of the Middle East and South Asia. This system places reliance on herbal medicines and the delicate balance of bodily humors as the cornerstone of healing and restoration
It is a system of medicine that originated in Greece and was developed by Arab physicians. It was introduced to India in the 12th century by Muslim invaders and has been practiced there ever since. Unani is based on the principle of four humors: blood, phlegm, yellow bile, and black bile. Unani practitioners believe that health and wellness depend on a balance of these humors.
When the humors become imbalanced, illness occurs. Unani practitioners use a variety of treatments to restore balance, including diet, herbal medicine, and cupping.
